What is a contributor?

Contributors are invited to campaigns or folders by other users, and only have access to the creative assets in those campaigns or folders. They are most often external users (vendors or contractors).

There are five roles in StreamWork: Admin, Workspace Manager, Member, Contributor and Reviewer. Contributors are invited to campaigns or folders by other users, and only have access to the creative assets in those campaigns or folders.

Contributors are a paid seat in an organization (account) as they are invited to work directly with the core team in StreamWork. Often, contributors are external vendors or agency partners who are working closely with a team, for example, to project manage a video campaign from start to finish.

Contributors are able to:

  • Work collaboratively with members in the campaign or folders they have been invited to
  • Create and delete folders
  • Upload assets
  • Create, manage, edit and delete tasks
  • Revert comments to tasks
  • Comment, reply and annotate on assets
  • Create an approval workflow for an asset and invite reviewers
  • Edit an approval workflow

If granted permission, Contributors can also:

  • Download assets in a campaign
  • Invite other contributors to a campaign
  • Share external links
