How do I control who sees what in StreamWork?

There are several ways to control who can see and access creative assets in StreamWork.

StreamWork was built with privacy and security at its core, giving teams granular control over roles, permissions, and access at every level.

Below are a few key ways to control access:

  1. Workspaces
  2. Projects
  3. Folders

Workspaces

Control who has access to a workspace. There are four key roles in a workspace: Admin, Workspace Manager, Member and Contributor.

  • Admin: Admins are the owners of the organization and have full control over all workspaces within it. They manage user access, workspace settings, storage, and billing. Admins can also oversee who has permission to view or edit content across the platform. Organizations can have multiple admins to help manage responsibilities.
  • Workspace Manager: Workspace Managers are designated to oversee a specific workspace. They can add or remove other managers, members, and contributors, giving them control over who has access and what level of permission each user has within that workspace.
  • Member: Members are typically core members on a working team. They have access to all projects and assets within a workspace—except for any that are marked as private.
  • Contributor: Contributors have limited access within a workspace and can only view the specific projects or folders they’ve been invited to. All other content in the workspace remains hidden unless they are explicitly granted access.

Projects

Projects house assets, this is the main way teams organize their videos and creative assets in StreamWork. Projects can be shared with everyone in a workspace, or be private to select people.

Folders

Folders are a more gradual way to organize specific creative assets within a project (ex. Logo assets folder). Folders can be shared with everyone in a project, or be private to select people in the project.
